This is a post that I mostly wrote during the Arizona conference in early April. Its reporting on a presentation that Michael Hansen did:
Michael worked a Lego early on and was trained to find good ides. He bought a nightclub at 25 years old and in three years it grew into several restaraunts and 2 other nightclubs. He had over 400 employees,
He told a funny story about how he first got involved with Network Marketing. He started out very skeptical. Then in three months he signed 8,000 in his downline.
He says in most Network Marketing companies after a couple of years, only 20% of your downline is active. His main goal in starting Dubli was to have an organization that has much closer to 100% active by getting customers to be active. He hasn’t come across real residual income in other Network Marketing companies. He wanted to create that with Dubli.
He began Trading Values which has now become Dublinetwork.
He showed the first tradingvalues.com video. It was in German. Subtitled in Danish. Looked good. As he started that site, he had many delays with programing. It was the worst time of his life.
He talked to the royalty in the Middle East. He went all over the world advertising it. He opened all over the world to great fanfare. He opened Dubli in China. In the first three weeks of opening he got 40,000 downloads of the software. <!– @page { margin: 0.79in } P { margin-bottom: 0.08in } –>
But then, it went bad. The software didn’t work. He was told it would have to be entirely re-written.
He started again in 2006 after buying some already written programming for shopping portals in the US. In a few short months he had over 1 million products on the shopping portal when only located in Germany. It was a huge success.
In 2007 he started Smartwin which is Unique Bid today. This was also a huge success. Then, the shopping portal began to go down hill because it was found that the people that were listing fake products. Buyers were stating to get very mad. At the same time, e-bay lost a lawsuit for $50 million. Michael began to get very nervous over the shopping portal portion of his business.
So, now, in the US, using all of the information that he’s gathered, he has launched a website where the company is in control of all products. When he opens the shopping portal, it will be with certified partners. Its been a bumpy road, but its a very strong foundation now.
I am planning a conference call to go over what we learned at the DuBli Conference in Arizona last weekend. I am tenativly setting it for Thursday evening around 8:00pm MT.
I’ve posted much of what I learned here already. But, this will give people the opportunity to ask questions.

I have some more posts to find and get on here. As I knew would happen, my internet connection went away after I checked out of my room. So, I wrote some notes with the intention of posting some more about day two of the conference when I got home.
I just got home and I’ll still do that, but I thought first that I ought to write a little about my overall impression of the conference and of Dubli and the of people who presented at the conference.
My honest assesment is that Dubli is real and that it has the potential to be huge. I am glad that we are still at the very beginning of what has so much potential. I am going to work harder than i did before to get people to see that they really should be a part of this great opportunity.
Now, like everything with potential, there are risks. I know that. You should know that. But, its a small risk compared to the large potential. How much have you lost in the stock market this last year? This is better than the stock market because you have a lot of control over the success. If you are on the fence about joining up, you should just jump in. If you need more info, Contact Us. But in any case, take the time to investigate.
I still have some questions about the compensation plan, about the Cinch program (and Connect), and about the shopping portal. But, I don’t have any remaining questions about the intentions and abilities of the leaders of this company. I’ll investigate and find the answers to the questions I have. (And I’ll post them here.)

Alright. Day two is about to begin. I got my spot next to power again. But, I won’t have wireless the whole time. When it conks out, I will write in the word processor and post when I get home.

Steve B went over “his” understanding of the new compensation plan with us yesterday- he is awesome. I would think that the most effective thing to come home with is a complete understanding of the compensation plan and all its working phases- I know there are many. Im excited to hear about your visit. I would very much like to come home with total understanding of this. I don’t think I will. The message here is that the comp plan is much better. And it is regarding customers, no doubt. And, for this thing to work, we really do need customers. I know that TMs and TLs get a $800 bonus each month (April and May) that they sign up 5 personals. TCs and above get 20% added to whatever they earn each month until August. There isn’t an opportunity to ask more specific questions. We all need to look to our upline to answer our specific questions. (We were told this by the guy who sponsored Tom A.) Compensation Plan Sign up phase Is your “first generation” the same as your “personals” or “frontline” or is your “first generation” the fist level under your “personal/frontline”? Good question. Don’t know. In the previous comp plan one needed 3 personals signed up- before commissions could be received from one of those personals signing up one of their personals. Is this still a qualification in the new comp? I believe this is still the case, don’t know for sure. Compensation Plan Credits or Pay Plan 2 My understanding is that when I have a registered customer on my dubli.com/1234567 site, and they purchase a credit package- say 10 credits @ $.80 each (regular retail credit price) And I – as a gold purchased my credits for $.60 my cost- If I have enough credits in my account the customer will be purchasing my credits and I will receive the $.20 difference….as well as or in addition to the commission percentage for that customer purchasing credits? Yes, I believe you get both the margin on the resale of the credits and a commission that is determined by your level . You get an override commission on purchases made by customers of your downline (how far down, i don’t understand completely.) And if I do not have enough credits in my account when they purchase credits- the credits will be purchased directly from Dubli and I will forfeit the difference I could have made by reselling my credits…However I would still receive the commission percentage from this customers buying credits? yes, I think. Same scenario as above but now the customer is one of my customers- customers- or in other words my customer has referred a friend who is now a customer. In these scenarios- are the commission’s percentages that I earn taken to infinity as far as generations of customers?Can’t be infinity. you can only split a nickel so many ways. I have a theory about how it works, but I’m just not sure. Let’s all talk when I get back. Maybe we can set up a conference call – comment here if you wish to join. Edited 4/6/2009 – I think I better understand this question now. For any customer that was referred by an existing customer of yours, they are your customer. Same goes with any customer that was referred by a customer referred by a customer – if that first customer was yours, all of the rest that are reffered are yours. To infinity or the population of the earth, whichever comes first. Dublinetwork Where do we add or update out banking account information? In the old format it was found in “my profile” but I don’t see where we add this info- for wiring commissioned earned info.When the e-wallet is up, which will be in a week or so, the first time you ask for your commissions to be paid, it will ask for your banking info. You will only have to put it in the first time. In the old format under “my organization” I could see my “upline” , Where can I view this in the new format? Don’t know. I do not see this in the new format- Yes I can break each of my frontline out by clicking the + sign and manually count them- but is there anywhere that will easily give me the totals. (There are 3 icons next to each name in the organization, a person, a group of bars and the title of the person. Clcik the person.) Please confirm- any “registered” member – or member who may have signed up several times unpaid “duplications” will naturally fall off my charts in (xxx?) how many days? Will try. Members who sign up and pay – use to have a 15 day “cool off” period for a full refund- (activated by submitting a ticket with a refund request” Is this still in effect or has the cooling off period changed? There is a cool off period but it is shorter. I think I read it was 3 days. Will verify. General Questions: Will there be a live customer service call in center for both dubli.com questions or dublinetwork.com questions or both – in the future- and if so – when- projection? Maybe someday. The first thing they are going to do is implement live chat on the backoffice. Tom said that they may put in place phone help, but it will be awhile. As this system is moved to North America Does Dubli have plans to accept AMEX either for sign up business associates or purchases of credits and products online. (this would be very nice) Don’t know Is Dubli still projecting to have 400- 500 items offered in the 3 auction sites, and 6 million items in the shopping portal?They said they will triple the number of items on the auctions and have at least 3 unique bid auctions expire everyday. Look for Harley Davidson Motorcycles, houses, cars and other big items. Fun!

As a “Product Representative” Will a small company like myself- Fanwrap or my small mom and pop shops through out the U.S. be able to qualify to become a supplier or sell their goods to Dubli or be added to the shopping portal- Is this what a “product representative” is? I’ve not been able to speak of this plan with any certainty- but I have interested parties. I don’t know for sure, but I don’t think how you have described is correct. I think the way it works is this: If you sign up a non-profit into the partner program, you get a commission. Then the non-profit directs all of their members to their new site that is full of information. During their visit, they will be directed to the auction site and the shopping portal and will be told that each purchase they make will make the non-profit money. You will also get a commission for each of those sales.
OK. So were at the end of day one of the DuBli conference in Scottsdale. It was a good day. He’s young. He’s getting lots of whoops. This event is the real kickoff of Dubli in the US. Products on dulbi will triple over the next 3 months.
Starting price will always be the best price on the internet. (This is big, this is the first price all new customers will see. And if its already the best price – the price you actually get will be great.)
Unique bid was the foundation of dubli. An apartment sold for $12,000 that was worth $300,000. A car is sold almost every month. Some as low as $300. Those people tend to tell others. From now on, everyday there will be at least 3 products ending everyday.
